Recipe: Natacha's Matcha Tea

 Plant Theory Matcha Tea

With sooo many health benefits, Matcha tea has taken the world (at least California) by storm. It has as many antioxidants as 10 cups of green tea, seems to boost just about everything in your body and to top it off, it’s freakin’ delicious! We’re always trying to find new ways to have matcha and one of our favorite people, Natacha from Miss Lollipop the Van, just sent us this amazing recipe that includes our owner plant-based creamer. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Prep time: 5 minutes — Yield: 1 cup of matcha tea.

  • 1 teaspoon of your favorite matcha (Natacha recommends Elan organic Matcha)
  • 1 cup of hot water
    • 400 to 500 ml of Silk coconut milk but it can be any plant-based milk and any good company.
    • 1 scoop of our Original flavored Plant Theory Plant-based creamer.
    • Optional : Any low glycemic sugar to taste such as maple syrup or coconut sugar. Please, not white sugar.

    1. Heat 1 cup of water so it’s hot
    2. In a blender, Place 1 tsp of Matcha, then slowly add the hot water. Blend on  until the mixture becomes frothy.
    3. After matcha mixture is blended, add the milk, plant theory creamer, and the maple syrup (if needed) and blend again until mixed.
    4. Voilà!
